Cert II Data & Voice Communication

The Certificate II in Data & Voice Communication (UEE20707) is a recognised pathway for gaining your telecommunications cablers license. This course is available as a traineeship, and also as a pathway for electrical tradesmen to gain their cablers license. Pathways include online delivery and RPL.

Scope
This qualification provides competencies to select, assemble, set up and maintain simple equipment and systems to a prescribed routine Certification of telecommunication cabling in buildings and premises. It includes ACA requirements for Open cabler registration.

Completion requirements
The requirements for awarding this qualification are that the following are successfully achieved:
• All of the Core competency standard units;
• The required number of Stream Core competency standard units;
• The required number of Elective competency standard units as prescribed in the respective Schedule; and
• All the required prerequisite competency standard units have been met as required.

Note:
1. Prerequisite pathways shall be identified and met for all elective units selected.

Assessments

Exams are progressive and will be online, and must be supervised. Information on supervision on exams is available in the Student Handbook (download here).
